So You Want to Start Babysitting! Group 2

This is for girls going into 6th to 9th grade (if you have someone older who wants to join, of course they can too!) and will be very informative but also a lot of fun! Days 1 and 3 (July 6th and July 8th, 1 to 4) will be about learning developmental stages and how to entertain and care for kids in each stage. Girls will leave with ideas on games to play and crafts to make with kids in each age group as well as fun and healthy snacks to make that kids will love! All information will be kept and organized in their Babysitter's Ultimate Binder for easy use when they start working! Additionally, the girls will learn how to market themselves effectively and safely, helping them to have a successful business. Day 2 on July 7th, (1 to 6) is when the girls will get certified in first aid and CPR! We will be trained by Rebecca Clark from Poudre Fire and the certification is through the American Heart Association. The girls will be certified for two years after completing this course.

Babysitting is a great way for the girls to step into more responsibility, giving them the opportunity to show themselves as capable. Babysitting will help the girls learn how to manage money and earning their own money creates a sense of pride. Additionally, babysitting helps them learn to set limits and boundaries as well as how to make decisions on the spot. The girls become role models to the kids they watch which is a big self-esteem booster for your daughter and babysitting is a constructive use of their time!
