About Our teen program

Free to Be is a place for girls to come hang out with friends, learn something new or, do something they already love in a space that is just for them! Come hang out with friends or make new ones, we are a safe space where all girls are welcome! Here there is no pressure, no expectations. Come as you are because here, you are Free to BE! 

 

Gone are the days of feeling awkward in a gym or fitness studio where you are the only “kid”. We offer weekly yoga and fitness classes just for middle and high school girls (parents are welcome if accompanied by their daughter) where you can feel confident in trying something new or doing a favorite workout with girls your age.  

 

If working out isn’t your thing, we have weekly drop-in hours to come do homework or have a place to hang out with friends, plus special monthly workshops on things like photography, art, music, journaling, cooking, meditation, plus whatever else we hear from YOU that you are interested in. Learn from professionals in various fields and walk away with fun new hobbies or strengthen your skills in something you already do!

 

Each month we also offer special personal growth experiences led by a licensed professional counselor. These deeper experiences help middle and high school girls tackle the more challenging parts of being a teen like self-love/esteem and confidence, friendships, dating, body image, self-care and more. These experiences aim to help girls find solid ground in who they are, establish their values, set boundaries and show up as the girl they want to be! Experiences include guiding girls through inner work using journaling and discussion, fun activities and crafts as well as motivational speakers from the community.
