About the Event

Week One: Become familiar with what is happening in the body when your daughter experiences heightened emotions. When we have a better understanding of what is happening, we know better what to do to help and avoid "flipping the lid" of emotion. February 9, 5:00 to 6:00

Week Two: Learn different tools and strategies to help your daughter, and help her help herself, when she is feeling emotionally elevated or low. Each family will leave with ideas on how to make actual toolboxes and calming spaces for their home. February 16th, 5:00 to 6:00

Week Three: The final session is just for caregivers. We will be discussing anxiety in children, what may be causing it and how to best support your daughter. February 23rd, 5:00 to 6:00

Presenter for this series is Keri Grant. Keri has been an educator for over 20 years and has worked with children of all ages. Keri has a master's degree in school counseling and has been working for the Poudre School District as a school counselor for the past 5 years. Keri has worked with numerous families, including her own, to provide strategies and support to help kids be able to safely experience feelings. Keri is a mother of two, ages 7 and 10 and so understands helping kids with big emotions as a counselor and as a parent.
